Turus Thalanaar is the longest standing Roleplay guild on the Blackwater Raiders server, offering a home to more than 200 players and their character Alts. The house was formed from the dissolution of five other roleplay guilds, themselves all former officers of the Keepers Pack. Facing a general decline in the quality of roleplay on the Blackwater Raiders server, the house was formed to present a strong base for roleplayers to also have the opportunity to raid and follow server progression without compromising their roleplay concepts and ideas. The guild has spread from its home on the Blackwater Raiders to include posts on Shadow Council, Silvermoon and the Scryers, and opened a new chapter in Moon Guard in June 2009.

Guild History
Thalanaar is an Alliance camp on the border of Feralas, at the northern reaches of the Thousand Needles; it is little more than a flight waypoint east of Feathermoon Stronghold, connecting Theramore Isle and the neutral villages of Gadgetzan and Ratchet. There are no guards, and the tradesman there will not attack the horde on sight. Their proximity to Camp Mojache for so many years has strengthened their calm around the horde; they will not, however, hesitate to respond if attacked. The outpost is the location for the Tribal Leatherworking trainer Caryssia Moonhunter. Judging by a single toppled, seemingly ancient roadsign in the Thousand Needles pointing to Thalanaar, the small outpost was at one point a larger settlement or served some greater purpose. House history descends from canon resources, and hold that the Dire Maul--what remains of the Highborne city of Eldre’thalas--holds a sacred charge given them, a power secreted away in the Lariss Pavilion to be rediscovered after the Great Sundering of the world; remnants of the original Highborne population still survive, barricaded deep inside the Dire Maul, and it is to that ancient people that Turus Thalanaar holds its allegiance. Thalanaar was the last outpost against the coming wars, and every Thalanaari loyalist strives to recover the Dire Maul and put down the forces that destroyed it, no matter the cost. In memory of what they have lost, all Thalanaari receive an argent silk velvet tabard, fringed with bleached sable, prominantly displaying a brown leaf. It is said of the tabard, "although the life tree of Thalanaar may be sleeping, it shall never die."
They are considered one house with the Alori Thalanaar, a group of blood elves and their allies who held the same connection to Thalanaar through Camp Mojache and described similar beginnings in Eldre'thalas. However, in failing to give up their arcane arts, the Alori became the blood elves of the modern age featured in the World of Warcraft. They hold the same meetings and maintain an identical rank structure to Turus Thalanaar, and often ran parallel events for roleplay continuity until a departing officer raided the vaults and rendered the Alori defunct. Turus Thalanaar and its officers created additional service guilds, the Bank of Thalanaar and Tyde Mining Company, to supply the main guild with materials and additional bank vaults, and house officers created an all-gnome guild entitled Gwydion's Secret Service, three smallers guilds through which officers and character Alts train new members in roleplay and the guild's history, while at the same time providing a nuturing atmosphere.
