Turus Thalanaar recently moved to the server Wyrmrest Accord in order to enjoy a higher quality of roleplay and a larger server population with similar interests. A past Top Ten progression guild on its former home the Blackwater Raiders, Turus Thalanaar chose the Harvest Moon (August 15, 2011) to play out its endgame "Windseeker" on our home server. It was a story which ended the guild’s five year history with the Blackwater Raiders and opened a new story with the Wyrmrest Accord.

History Edit

Thalanaar is an Alliance camp on the border of Feralas, at the northern reaches of the Thousand Needles; it is little more than a single tower, connecting Theramore and Feathermoon Stronghold. After the death of Cairne Bloodhoof and the deceit of Grimtotem's people, Thalanaar is besieged by a vengeful enemy with a foothold on its territory. And help... is far away.

Thalanaar was an Alliance camp on the border of Feralas, at the northern reaches of the Thousand Needles–little more than a flight waypoint east of Feathermoon Stronghold, connecting Theramore Isle and the neutral villages of Gadgetzan and Ratchet. A single toppled roadsign in the Thousand Needles pointing to Thalanaar before the Shattering indicated that the small outpost was at one point a larger settlement, or served some greater purpose.

New Thalanaar echoes the world after the Shattering, a night elf outpost hastily constructed after Thalanaar flooded and under siege by forces loyal to Magitha Grimtotem. Gone are the flight master, and any semblances of home that the Thalanaari would recognize. New arrivals are quickly recruited into the war zone to the dock, where boats wait for travelers wishing to explore the bay the Sundering created.

Roleplay Edit

We do not focus on spontaneous roleplay. Many of our stories develop after months of development, shaped carefully with an emphasis on Lore. We believe in character-driven storytelling, with open-ended stories that shape the future of our house, based on the decisions our characters make. While our stories usually ask moral or ethical questions along with simple choices, these stories shape future behavior, and new stories that begin where the previous tales left off.

Our goal, endgame, is to be a life-shaping tool for our players. Our house is organized to promote leadership and trust, and our stories ask questions about morality, ethics, good, evil and ultimately tell us a little more about ourselves, here in the real world, and ultimately it is to you, our players, that we dedicate our story.

Raiding Edit

Thalanaar supports no regular raiding schedule, although it meets frequently and does enjoy raiding content. Regular raiding results can be viewed by visiting GuildOx.com.
