Guild History
Vertex was formed as a merger between two former native Staghelm US guilds Aion and Omicron. Both guilds had progressed very far into end game content, but needed more people to push deeper into Naxx.
Since its founding Vertex has begun to make a name for itself taking on the new and difficult challenges that await them in Kel'Thuzad's floating citadel.
Predecessors
Omicron
Omicron was created during the early days of the Staghelm server by a player named Swifthistle. As the server matured it grew into a hardcore raiding guild. Omicron had many triumphs and many tribulations as it progressed through MC, BWL, and AQ. It held its own in terms of progression with respect to other guilds on the server. The peak of its progression was getting C'Thun to phase 2 and killing the Instructor.
The leadership of the guild decided it was in the best interest of the members who wished to continue end-game progression to merge with another guild. In September 2006 Omicron and Aion merged to form a new guild Vertex.
