Hex is a form of voodoo magic practiced by trolls. A hex can either be a form of transformation or a curse.

In World of Warcraft, Troll Priests have Hex of Weakness, which lowers the hostiles DPS and lowers healing done to him. In Wrath of the Lich King, Shaman will gain the true Hex we know from WC3, turning the foe into a frog for 30 seconds. The foe will still be able to control itself, but not attack or cast spells.
