Overview
Holy Fire is a Holy based hybrid spell, which causes direct damage and additional damage over time. About two thirds of the damage are caused by the DD, and the other third by the DoT.
Functionality
Use
- Casting: 3.5 sec.
- School: Holy
- Tree: Holy
- Target: Enemy
- Range: 30 Yards
- Cooldown: N/A
- Classification: Magic
Notes
- Spell damage is divided among the DD and the DoT.
- The DoT ticks every two seconds, contrary to most other DoTs.
- It is much more mana-efficient than the other Holy DD spell,
[Smite]. - Since Patch 1.10, Holy Fire is now available to all Priests and no longer requires a talent to access. Furthermore its school was changed from fire to holy (though the animation remained unchanged). It may be trained starting at level 20. Holy Fire already has been changed multiple times before.

Tips and Tactics
- Chaincasting Holy Fire will reduce its effectiveness, as the DoT will be overwritten. It may be more useful to fill the gaps with Smite and
[Mind Blast].
