Now nearly a thing of the past, HK Farmers were especially prevalent in the days between the release of the Honor System and the Battlegrounds, two months later.

By definition, an HK farmer is a moderate-to-high level PvP player who repeatedly assaults lower-level settlements, in a hope of drawing out players to kill. This in turn gives them Honor Kills, which, ostensibly, bumps their PvP Rank upward.

Adjustments to the PvP Honor System (such as the introduction of diminishing returns for kills on the same player) and the opening of the Battlegrounds (with honor rewards, per match, that exceeded what HK farmers could hope to achieve in hours of action) made the process obsolete and scorned by most.

It is still practiced in some circles, but frequently results in ridicule and derision by friend and foe alike.
