The house of Menethil was the ruling line of Lordaeron prior to the kingdom's destruction and the murder of King Terenas Menethil II by his son, Prince Arthas at the start of the Third War. The house was known for their kindness to the Wrynns during the Second War, when the Horde ruled Azeroth (Stormwind). It ruled for many years, as it is said that Terenas was King for either 50 or 70 years.

    • Princess Calia (presumed to be Calia Hastings). - Daughter and oldest child of Terenas and Lianne.
    • Prince Arthas - Son of Terenas and Lianne, despoiler of Lordaeron and former Lich King.
