The Imperial Plate armor set is crafted by Blacksmiths. In order to learn the plans for the items, blacksmiths must be at least level 50 and have a blacksmithing skill of 265. They must then turn in Thorium Bars to Derotain Mudsipper in Gadgetzan. All pieces of the set are Bind on Equip.

Notes
This set is far and away the easiest set to put together and also one of the least powerful of the upper level sets. Not to worry, it does its job and can be a huge help in working to gain the Battlegear of Valor set. If you look close you will notice the fact that only six of the seven set items are required to gain the maximum set bonus. Also note that there are no gloves in the set. This works to our advantage while putting together the Valor set.
Since there are no gloves in this set one can work to gain the [Gauntlets of Valor] and still keep the benifits of wearing Imperial Plate. The next thing to note is that the [Bracers of Valor] and [Belt of Valor] are Bind on Equip and can often be found in the Auction House. We need three items to gain a set bonus from the Valor set so when we put on our next item we lose one bonus from the Imperial set and gain the first from the Valor set.
