Functionality

Corruption normally has a two second casting time. Putting five points in Improved Corruption gives it an instant cast.

Notes

Improved Corruption is one of the most popular talents, for both Affliction and non-Affliction builds, followed by Improved Life Tap. The difference between instant cast spells and others cannot be ignored: instant cast spells can't be interrupted, Counterspelled, or Spell Locked, and can be cast while moving.

It's good to have an instant-cast DoT that isn't a curse. The ability to cast Corruption instantly shines in situations where you aren't afforded much time to stand still, or when your target is constantly moving, like in PvP and Battlegrounds or Arenas.
