Improved Fire Blast is a mage talent that reduces the cooldown of the Fire Blast spell by .5 sec per rank, up to 1.5 sec at max rank 3. Overall, the talent increases the effective DPS of Fire Blast by allowing the mage to cast it more often. It is viewed as a PvP oriented talent since the DPM of Fire Blast is too poor to be used heavily in most PvE encounters.
