Improved Frost Nova is a Mage talent which decreases the cooldown of the spell Frost Nova by 2 seconds per rank, up to 4 seconds at max rank 2. Frost Nova normally has a cooldown of 25 seconds - this talent can reduce it to 21 seconds. Frost Nova is undoubtedly a useful spell, and having a shorter cooldown helps in many PvP situations, as well as solo PvE. Furthermore, this talent is a pre-requisite for the Shatter talent, all making this a popular talent for frost mages and elementalists.
