Improved Gouge

Improved Gouge
Increases the effect duration of your Gouge ability by X sec.

Improved Gouge is a Rogue talent located in the 1st tier of the Combat Tree.

Functionality

If you don't use Gouge very often (which you may not, especially if you solo through PVE content with swords), then the utility of this talent may not be apparent. The main use for it revolves around the fact that it allows you to restealth during a fight before the Gouge effect wears off. In general, you need to not attack or be hit in combat for five seconds before you can restealth. If your Vanish is still on cooldown, you can use this as a pseudo-Vanish by gouging your foe, spamming stealth until you restealth, then using another stealth opener after the global cooldown resets.

This sequence makes Improved Gouge an invaluable part of PVP stunlock builds, as well.
