Insignia of the Horde is a rare quality PvP reward that removes all movement impairing effects but does not prevent them from being reapplied. Usable even if the effect would normally prevent trinket use. This item is popular for level 19 twinks for use in Warsong Gulch, where being able to break rooting can bring a victory.

Contents

Versions

There is a different Insignia of the Horde for each base class, with a different item id. The old insignias each removed three of six movement impairing effects, but the differences have been removed, and the Insignia of the Horde for all the base classes now remove all six movement impairing effects, charm, fear, stun, root, slow, polymorph.

Source

This PvP reward item can be purchased from Brave Stonehide <Officer Accessories Quartermaster> in the Hall of Legends in Orgrimmar for 2,805Honor point .

This item has no level requirement. All that is required to obtain one is a dedicated effort to faction PvP.

Historical note

Sergeant Ba'sha <Accessories Quartermaster> in Durotar was the vendor under the old PvP ranks reward system. She was removed from the game when the ranks reward system was replaced with the honor points system.

Cooldown

The cooldown for the Insignia of the Horde is 5 minutes for all classes.

Upgrade

There is an upgraded version, the Medallion of the Horde, which is available at level 70, has only a 2-minute cooldown, and has a Resilience bonus.

Faction equivalent

The Alliance equivalent is the Insignia of the Alliance.

Patch changes

  • Patch 2.0.1 (12/5/06): The access method for purchase and NPC vendor changed with the change to the PvP rewards system, from the rank based system to the current system, now using Honor Points.
