Istaria is the daughter of Leyara and Valstann Staghelm^[2]. She was born after Valstann's death during the Qiraji War ^[3]. It's assumed that she died later due to an attack by the Horde. Players encounter a vision of her during the quest  [85] Tragedy and Family when visiting Valstann's grave^{[41, 53]}
