Jai'alator is the hippogryph of Shandris Feathermoon, general of the Sentinel. Jai'alator is decribed as "a large male hippogryph with a plumage more striking than other hippogryphs, darker and more dramatic feathers, as well as crimson lines accross the ebony wings and slight turquoise markings on the upper edges. Crimson feathers also lined the otherwise blue-black head". The name "Jai'alator" translates to "Noble blade of Elune", a fitting name for the war-bred hippogryph. Shandris allowed the high priestess Tyrande Whisperwind to ride the noble hippogryph on her quest to find out what have happened to Malfurion Stormrage. "Jai" served the high priestess well and flew her to Auberdine, but the village had already fallen prey to the Emerald Nightmare's recent attack. Both Tyrande and "Jai" were attacked just moments later, and altough the high priestess managed to flee with the help of Lucan Foxblood, the noble hippogryph was taken by the deep sleep of the Nightmare.^[1]
