Jalia was an elder, full-bodied woman who had given birth to six children, and midwifed several times that number. She was a resident of a town near Dalaran where Rhonin and Vereesa Windrunner had settled down, and assisted the then-pregnant high elf through her maternity. Rhonin was certain that a human would be leery of dealing with an elf, but Jalia did not have any problem with helping Vereesa.^{WoE 17}
