Jhordy Lapforge is a level 50 engineer located in Gadgetzan in the contested territory of Tanaris. He gives out a recipe for artisan gnome engineers. He is working on a teleporter, and wears a yellow shirt and goggles. He is clearly an homage to Lt. Cmdr. Geordi LaForge, the chief engineer of the U.S.S. Enterprise D in the Star Trek universe. He even has yellow goggles, perhaps a homage to his Star Trek counterpart's V.I.S.O.R. Other teleporter operators names after Star Trek engineers include Smiles O'Byron (Miles O'Brien) and Scooty (Scotty).

Jhordy can be seen in the image at the top of the screen during a character transfer.

Jhordy takes part in Operation: Gnomeregan when he ports Mekkatorque and any players with him out of harm's way at the end of the quest.
