The Kolkar centaurs have been plotting against the orcs ever since they arrived on Kalimdor. Though the Kolkar are mostly concentrated in the Barrens and areas farther to the west, a fringe group has taken up residence in a craggy gorge called Kolkar Crag, ^{[48, 78]}

accessible from the southernmost shores of Durotar. Here, the Kolkar plot to launch an attack on the towns of Durotar: The Valley of Trials, Sen'jin Village, Razor Hill, and even the gates of Orgrimmar. The Kolkar here are led by a mighty centaur warlord dispatched from Desolace: Warlord Kolkanis.

The Alliance has pushed the centaur out of the Kolkar Crag by using soldiers from Northwatch. They then rename the area Northwatch Foothold.
