Lady Naz'jar is the first boss of the Throne of the Tides in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. She can be found in the depths of Throne of the Tides, and needs to be killed to unlock other bosses.
Abilities
Note - Abilities are changed and tweaked constantly, as the encounter is still in beta
- Vortex - Summons a circle on the ground the erupts into a vortex after 2 seconds. Deals ~25,000 damage to any characters standing over it when it erupts, and launches the characters into the air. Fall damage will likely kill any player, even if they were at max health before the Vortex.
- Static Shock - 1.5-2 second cast time. Single target attack to the tank. Will bring tanks to about half hp.
- Fungal Spores - Disease, 10,000 damage per second. Removeable, can be dodged by moving out of the way of it.
- Water Spout - At 66% and 33%, banishes herself within a vortex, reflecting all spells and attacks, and spawns two Tempest Sea Witches, (100,000 hp) and one Naga Honor Guard. (200,000 hp). She will reappear once the adds are down.
Strategy
- When you start the encounter, the gates you enter from will lock. Periodically she will open a Vortex. Players must get away from this or else it will do ~25k damage to all players near it. At 66% and 33% she'll banish herself in a vortex. She'll be completely invulnerable during this time and two Tempest Sea Witches and one Naga Honor Guard will spawn. They must be killed in order for her to come out of the vortex. Just keep damaging her and eventually she will fall.
Beta Note: In order to progress after this, go out the exit near the room (not the one you entered from) and right click on the Security Defense Mechanism to continue.
