Lance
A lance is a weapon usually carried by knights[1] and other mounted warriors.[2] Using this weapon on horseback gives them an advantage against enemies that are on foot.[1] Sargeras is known to wield a lance.[3]

The Argent Tournament makes use of the lance as a requirement to activate a jousting mount. Several varieties exist: Argent Lance, Alliance Lance, Horde Lance. All are equivalent for purposes of allowing access to a jousting mount.
There are a few other lances ℜ ω τ α ⊂ in World of Warcraft.

A lancer is a cavalryman who fights with a lance. Human lancers were used in the defense of Stormwind City during the First War.[4]
