• Surge: Charges toward the player on his threat list who is farthest away, dealing 1000 damage to all players in melee range of that player and knocking them back.

Lava Surgers must not be confused with Lava Annihilators! While on the Annihilator the whole raid stays within the hitbox of the mob, DON'T DO THIS ON A SURGER. It will charge anyway, hitting everyone in range for 1000 damage. He will do this quite frequent and if ALL raidmember stay close, ALL get the knockdown and the damage. Casting will be interrupted as well.

Spread out! It is better to have only 10 people kicked in the balls than 40 !

YOU DO DOGPILE SURGERS, THEIR CHARGE ONLY CHARGES PEOPLE FAR AWAY, SO IF NO ONE IS FAR HE WILL NOT DO A KNOCKBACK

Alternate Stategy:

These mobs are often encounters in tight hallways, or too near other mobs to risk spreading out. Take advantage of the fact that they charge the furthest target on their threat list: bring the raid in close as when fighting a Lava Annihilator, with a decoy OT outside the clump to take the charge. The decoy stays far enough away from the clump that no one else is damaged or knocked back. This strategy is easier to position and heal than spreading out, and also more consistent with other rock golems in the instance. The only golem that should not be clumped is the Lava Reaver.

Reward

Reputation: 20 reputation with the Hydraxian Waterlords until the end of Honored.

Loot: Lava Surgers have a low chance to drop a BoE Tier 1 item.

Notes

28 minutes respawn timer. Once Garr is killed they no longer respawn.
