Metzen was asked at San Diego Comicon if the character will ever appear in World of Warcraft: The Comic, he thought it was a good idea. Only time will tell if it ever happens.

Backround: The day of the legend started off with a forum post, no not the usual forum post but one from the legends husband himself it went a little something like this
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my post.
Contrary to what you might assume or believe, I am the GM of Dirty Sons of Liches (look me up in the armory if you doubt it) and the only remaining founder. The guild is a little over a year old, my days as GM is about to end and I need someone to take over for me.
As you might know, Gilgamesh is my wife in real life and has placed a significant amount of work into the guild and people are likely to respond why not give it to her. The primary reason is I intend to gkick her from the guild when I return home from work tonight.
As it turns out playing wow isn't the only thing she likes to do in her free time. I hear that she is often very friendly over ventrilo...very friendly.
With that said, I have decided not to disband the guild- the guild deserves to live on. I would like to just give it away....for free. Website, DKP, everything.
Whats the catch?

and thus the Gilgamesh Legend was born
Now as the story began to unfold new facts about the legend Gilgamesh were uncovered. Gilgamesh was a past E-slut seeking help for her tramp like ways in counseling. However this seemed to not help at all as Gilgamesh was what the young kids call today “cybering” on a Voice over communication program called Ventrilo. Now many have stepped forward and have claimed that Gilgamesh touched their “special no no zone parts” however, no concrete evidence has been fielded yet to support many. Gilgamesh Cyber Guilds
As the Legend began to grow fan clubs began to sprout up in the game world. <WE RAID GILGAMESH> was the first know fan club of the Gilgamesh legend and was born on onyxia horde side. Gilga Cyber Fan Club sprouted up shortly after onyxia alliance side.
More Attention
As The legend grew so did the attention surrounding it The story began appearing on websites such as www.afkgamer.com and http://www.blackravens.net/index.php/2007/08/11/inflagranti/ (it made it all the way to hungary) It even showed up on wikipedia. Shockwaves coursed throughout popular culture when an epic WoW forum thread, which originated on the Onyxia forum page, referred to a concomitantly hilarious and heartbreaking destruction of a guild when player character Demeter divulged that his wife, player character Gilgamesh, was having an online fling with several other guildmates, which possibly involved ventrilo "phone sex" and multiple exchanges of nude photos.-wikipedia
There was still however one thing missing from the legend… PICTURES no one know what the E-Tramp looked like or if anyone would really E-plow her E-vag….. Until that day where Xaq the lead detective on Legend of Gilgamesh facts found the myspace.
