Lightning Shield is a Nature-based buff. When getting attacked, it does direct damage to the attacker. It can only proc every few seconds and has three charges.

Notes
- It uses the lightning animation instead of the normal nature animation.
- Each charge receives 33% of spell damage.
- The damage caused is considered direct damage, though it cannot crit.
- It was used as a template for the Troll Priest's Shadowguard.
- Each charge will consume a charge of the Zandalarian Hero Charm's Unstable Power aura.
Talent improvement
- Improved Lightning Shield can increase damage done by this spell by {5/10/15%}
- Lightning Shield, as an instant cast spell, gets mana costs reduced by {2/4/6%} and spell damage increased by {10/20/30%} of your attack power, from Mental Quickness talent.
Tips and tactics
- You may want to use Lightning Shield if facing a tougher opponent than you.
- Lightning Shield can cause large amounts of unwanted aggro. Be careful when using it in groups.
- Only one Elemental Shield can be active on the Shaman at any one time, so choose wisely.
