Lord Blackforest was a night elf noble. He was one of the many nobles who looked to Jarod Shadowsong for leadership during the later battles against the Burning Legion.^{Sund 117}

He perished when he — along with a few highborne and night elves — found Illidan trying to recreate the Well of Eternity by pouring previously filled vials of magical water into a lake on Mount Hyjal. Illidan burned the sorcerers and caused the ground beneath Blackforest to explode, throwing him into the air and impacting against a tree with a resounding crack.^{Sund 354, 355}
