Marks your character as AFK

/afk message

You can also use away.

Arguments

message

Optional - This argument lets you define a custom auto-reply message.

Notes

• Your status in the guild pane will be shown as <AFK> instead of Online
• <AFK> will also appear next to your name above your character.
• Whispers sent to your character will trigger an auto-response "<name> is Away From Keyboard.".
• Typing this command in a battleground will remove you from the battleground, and you will receive the "Deserter" debuff just as if you had chose to leave the battleground from the minimap menu.
• If you are already AFK and you do not have Auto-clear AFK turned on in the options, this will remove your AFK status.
• The "away" alias was added in patch 4.0
