Maim is a finishing move that deals damage and incapacitates the target.
Rank table
| Rank | Level | Description | Cost
|
1 | 62 | Finishing move that causes damage and incapacitates the target. Any directly damaging attack will revive the target. Causes more damage and lasts longer per combo point: 1 point : 193-216 damage, 2 sec 2 points: 277-300 damage, 3 sec 3 points: 361-384 damage, 4 sec 4 points: 445-468 damage, 5 sec 5 points: 529-552 damage, 6 sec | 3 87
|
- Damage formula: (x+w)-(x+W), where w indicates low end weapon damage, W indicates high end weapon damage, and x indicates bonus damage per combo point:
- 1 point: 129
- 2 points: 213
- 3 points: 297
- 4 points: 381
- 5 points: 465
Notes
- Bleed effects/DoTs continue to damage the target without breaking Maim. Therefore, using Pounce and a combination of Mangle(cat) and Rake will not only allow you to stun the target with decent damage, but also your bleeds will continue to damage the target.
- This is an incapacitation, NOT A STUN. It will stop spellcasting, but any damage that is not a bleed/DOT will stop the effect.
- Maim does not directly interrupt spells: incapacitation does, but many mobs are immune. [Season 3 Feral gloves] add a counterspell-lock to Maim that is applied independently from the rest of the effect.
- Maim produces a very distinctive noise.
Tips and tactics
- A four combo point Maim gives you enough time to heal yourself with a Healing Touch, or give your energy enough time to regenerate for a Shred. Also in 1vs1 you may have time to Prowl and Ravage or Pounce again.
