Marshal's Expedition, led by Williden Marshal and including family and companions, was somewhat of a failure, as they had to escape their base camps and seek refuge on higher ground.^[1]

Eventually, they were able to establish Marshal's Refuge — the only sign of civilization in Un'Goro Crater. Members of every civilized race are here, both Alliance and Horde.^[2] Williden tells adventurers that Marshal's Expedition was his latest and greatest endeavor for his group, Marshal Expeditions, but they met with countless disasters and underestimated the savagery of the place.^[3]
