Mastiffs are a breed of canine found primarily in Gilneas. Several mobs that once used the hyena model have been updated to use the new mastiff model in Cataclysm, such as the various hounds employed by the Scarlet Crusade.

As a hunter petEdit

Mastiffs will be tamable in Cataclysm, however, like the other new tamable beasts they will share a family type with an already existing creature. Mastiffs will be classified as wolves in-game. Players that start as a worgen hunter will receive a mastiff as their first pet.
