A group of two or more sub-guilds operating as a single guild. Meta-guilds share a common meta-guild name, officers and guild leaders -- and are primarily created due to Blizzard's UI limitation on guilds having no more than 500 members. Although it is technically possible to have over 500 players join a guild, at over 500 players the UI no longer shows all members online and has reduced operational functionality.
