Mining bags are special bags first made available in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

They can hold the following items:

• Blacksmith Hammers
• Mining Picks
• Bladed Pickaxes
• Hammer Picks
• Raw ore
• Smelted bars
• Stones: Rough Stone, Coarse Stone, Heavy Stone, Solid Stone and Dense Stone
• Primals: Primal Earth and Primal Fire
• Motes: Mote of Earth and Mote of Fire
• Eternals: Eternal Air, Eternal Earth, Eternal Fire, Eternal Shadow and Eternal Water

and

• Crystallizeds: Crystallized Air, Crystallized Earth, Crystallized Fire, Crystallized Shadow and Crystallized Water

They cannot be used to hold gems or other Motes, Primals, Crystallizeds, and Eternals.

There are three mining bags in game:

• The [Mining Sack] is a 20-slot Mining bag that can be purchased from Fabian Lanzonelli in Allerian Stronghold, Floyd Pinkus in Thrallmar, and Caregiver Ophera Windfury in Temple of Telhamat.
• The [Reinforced Mining Bag] is a 28-slot Mining bag that can be created by leatherworkers in the Burning Crusade.
• The [Mammoth Mining Bag] is a 32-slot Mining bag that can be created by leatherworkers in the Wrath of the Lich King.
