Minor Recombobulator

The Minor Recombobulator is a trinket that dispells [Polymorph] effects on a friendly target, and heals a small amount of HP. Note that it cannot be used on yourself, so it can't replace a PVP trinket.

Alliance can get the schematic from vendors, Horde have to work a little harder. It's best if you combine this with the walkthrough to get the  [Discombobulator Ray], also found in Gnomeregan.

Horde Walkthrough

Go to Gnomeregan

Speak to Scooty in Booty Bay. He'll put together a teleportation item for you. When ready, step onto the teleporter. You're now inside Gnomeregan's Hall of Gears, just outside the instance itself.

Farm the White Punch Card

While outside of the instance, start killing the elites. The White Punch Card is a ~10% drop from these mobs. It's Bind on Pickup, so you must farm it here. Make sure every Engineer who wants the Recombobulator schematic gets one.

Upgrade to Yellow Punch Card

Still outside the instance, find the Matrix Punchograph 3005-A. These are north of where you teleported, on a platform suspended above a round room. Select the option to upgrade your card and you'll now have both a White and a Yellow Punch Card. The Yellow one is what you'll need for the Recombobulator. Now head in to the instance (back to the teleporter, then west).

Find the Matrix Punchograph 3005-B

Go to the first round room. Proceed 90° clockwise (you'll exit the room to the southwest). Take a left and follow the path around and then down. Taking a right and going down first, before going around, is the wrong direction. You'll emerge on a slope above a room full of Troggs. If you're fighting Gnomes, backtrack as you've taken a wrong turn. Scattered around the Trogg room are the Punchograph-Bs.

Learn the Schematic

Use the Matrix Punchograph 3005-B to access secret engineering schematics! For Horde, there's no need to further upgrade your card; the  [Discombobulator Ray] uses the entirely separate Security DELTA Data Access Card.
