Mithril Ore is mined from Mithril veins, with a minimum mining skill of 175.

Mithril is a rare, silvery, glistening metal that is lighter than iron by just as hard. When worked like steel, it becomes a wonderful material from which to create armor; it is occasionally used for other items as well.^{WoWRPG 194}

Smelting (Mining)

Mithril Ore is smelted into Mithril Bars at a forge, requiring a mining skill of 175 or more.

Mithril Bars are used in the production of many items made by Blacksmithing, Engineering, and Jewelcrafting.

Prospecting (Jewelcrafting)

Mithril Ore can be prospected (consuming 5 ore) with a Jewelcrafting skill of 175 or more, resulting in:

• Mithril Powder (100%)
• Citrine (50%)
• Aquamarine (44%)
• Star Ruby (38%)
• Huge Emerald (3%)
• Blue Sapphire (3%)

• Lesser Stoneshield Potion

Notes

Gold and Truesilver Veins appear, uncommonly, wherever Mithril veins are found.
