The Sunstrider dynasty (also known as the House of Sunstrider) was the traditional royal family of the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas.
History
The word is a Darnassian term that means "he who walks the day"[1][2] The dynasty began with Dath'Remar Sunstrider, who led the highborne across the sea in their exile to Quel'Thalas and established the Sunwell. The Sunstriders have ruled over the high elves for almost 7,000 years, aided by the Convocation of Silvermoon. There is apparently a Remar lineage as well. After the war's conclusion and the Highborne's refusal to forsake magic, Dath'Remar led his people across the newly-formed Great Sea to Lordaeron and founded the new Kingdom of Quel'Thalas, where he served as its first high king.
