This item drops from Water Elementals across various places in Outland. Motes of Water can also be obtained by fishing Pure Water pools. Also have a chance to be found in the fishing daily reward [Bag of Fishing Treasures]. Engineers can extract motes from Swamp Gas in Zangarmarsh and The Steamvault using the Zapthrottle Mote Extractor.

Ten Motes of Water can be combined into a single Primal Water.
