Let's say you did 10 quests as a human in a level 12+ guild and your guild UI shows your weekly rep count increased from 0 to 400 (40 each), but if you look at the actual values in your reputation UI, the number will have increased by 480 which is the base 400 +10% for the racial and +10% for the perk. So for the same human, once the guild UI reads 3500/3500 in reality the character has gained (3500*120%) 4200 reputation.

Guild reputation is gained through the following means:

  • Turning in a quest
  • Guild group boss kills
  • Guild group pvp activity

Certain levels of guild reputation are required to purchase and use some guild rewards.

It was initially believed that the guild perk Achievement guildperk mrpopularity [Mr. Popularity] increased the amount of reputation you were able to gain each week with your guild each week, but when patch 4.0.6 was released it was shown in the guild UI that the cap was 3500, which made some assumed that the perks just allowed people to reach the cap faster. However after testing this was found to only be partially true, and both the human racial Inv misc note 02 [Diplomacy] and the guild perk DO have an effect. The 3500 is actually the unmodified cap, for example:

Let's say you did 10 quests as a human in a level 12+ guild and your guild UI shows your weekly rep count increased from 0 to 400 (40 each), but if you look at the actual values in your reputation UI, the number will have increased by 480 which is the base 400 +10% for the racial and +10% for the perk. So for the same human, once the guild UI reads 3500/3500 in reality the character has gained (3500*120%) 4200 reputation.

Losing Guild Reputation

If you are kicked from or leave a guild, you do not lose your reputation with that guild immediately. You will lose it if you:

  1. Allow 10 days to elapse after becoming unguilded [1]
  2. Join a different guild
  3. Transfer the character to a different account (which de-guilds you)

Note that upon joining a different guild your guild reputation is reset immediately.

Guild titles

When meeting certain reputation levels, your guild tag will change.
