Context
Muradin Bronzebeard is the middle son of the brothers Bronzebeard with Magni Bronzebeard being older, and Brann Bronzebeard being younger. Muradin went to Northrend in search of the runeblade Frostmourne. Arthas ran into Muradin on a unrelated errand to destroy the Dreadlord Mal'ganis. When Arthas heard stories of the Runeblade he and Muradin went on there own to find Frostmoure. When they found Frostmourne Muradin asked Arthas to leave the sword be, but Arthas said he would pay any price for victory. At that moment a bolt came out of Frostmourne and struck Muradin down. The coin was therefore thrown short before Muradin's expedition, during the Third War, on their way to Northrend.
Muradin's survival does suggest that the light did protect him from Frostmourne's wrath upon being released by Arthas.
