Nexus Crystal is an ingredient for high level enchantments and a blacksmithing plan.

Nexus Crystals are disenchanted from high level epic and rare items at the following probabilities:
- iLevel 56-60 epic equipment: 1x
- iLevel 76-80 epic weapons: 1x (33%), 2x (67%)
- All other iLevel 61-80 epic equipment: 1x (50%), 2x (50%)
- iLevel 66-99 rare equipment: 1x (0.5%)

New in Patch 2.2
[edit] Patches and Hotfixes
Patch 1.9.0 (1/3/06): Epic items that are level 51 and above will now disenchant into a Nexus Crystal. Also items that normally disenchant into Large Brilliant Shards have a very small chance of disenchanting into a Nexus Crystal. New more powerful enchanting recipes that require these Crystals can be found in the new Ahn'Qiraj content.

- Epics previously disenchanted into multiple Large Brilliant Shards.
Patch 2.2.0 (9/25/07): Most of the above enchants have been moved to reputation vendors in Outland and have been updated to use level 70 reagents and not use the Nexus Crystal anymore.
