Nightfall is a two-handed axe that really shines when used in conjunction with Mages and Warlocks. The axe's special ability makes your victim more vulnerable to your magical allies. This is also a suite good axe for retribution Paladins. Except mages and warlocks cannot use two handed axes.

Nightfall can be crafted by Blacksmiths with a skill level of 300.
The components are:
- 8 Lava Cores
- 5 Fiery Cores
- 10 Arcanite Bars
- 12 Dark Iron Bars
- 4 Huge Emeralds
The plans are sold by Lokhtos Darkbargainer in Blackrock Depths to players Exalted with the Thorium Brotherhood.
Notes
The Axe and its crafting materials have been changed in Patch 1.11. Before then, the proc was Chance on Hit: Reduces enemy's spell resistances by 60 for 5 sec. and the materials were:
- 16 Lava Cores
- 10 Fiery Cores
- 10 Arcanite Bars
- 12 Dark Iron Bars
- 4 Huge Emeralds
This axe really shines in the Ragnaros fight, were ranged DPS is very important. Many guilds outfit one of there DPS warriors or paladins with one to get that extra increase in damage from warlocks and mages.
