Nightmare Vine can be found throughout Shadowmoon Valley as well as Forge Camp: Wrath and Forge Camp: Terror in Blade's Edge Mountains and Throne of Kil'jaeden in Hellfire Peninsula. Prior to patch 2.4, it was only available in Shadowmoon Valley. It does not appear to grow any place in particular, it can be seen out in the open as well as tucked in between rocks. Requires 365 Herbalism to gather.

Alchemy

Alchemy Potions:

Destruction Potion Use: Increases spell critical chance by 2% and spell power by 120 for 15 sec. Requires Level 25 Sell Price: 50 Elixir of Major Shadow Power Use: Increases shadow spell power by 55 for 1 hour. Battle Elixir. Requires Level 25 Sell Price: 60 Fel Mana Potion Use: Restores 3200 mana over 24 sec, but at a cost. Also reduces Spell Power by 25 for 15 min. Requires Level 25 Sell Price: 50 Fel Regeneration Potion Use: Restores 3200 health over 24 sec, but at a cost. All stats are reduced by 15 for 15 min. Requires Level 25 Sell Price: 50 Fel Strength Elixir Use: Increases attack power by 30 and decreases stamina by 7 for 1 hour.  Battle Elixir. (3 Sec Cooldown) Requires Level 25 Sell Price: 30 Flask of Pure Death Use: Increases Shadow, Fire, and Frost spell power by 80 for 1 hour. Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. This effect persists through death. Requires Level 26 Sell Price: 50 Major Dreamless Sleep Potion Use: Puts the imbiber in a dreamless sleep for 12 sec. During that time the imbiber heals 3600 health and 3600 mana. Requires Level 25 Sell Price: 50

Superior Wizard Oil Use: Applies superior wizard oil to your weapon, increasing Intellect by 40. Effect lasts for 1 hour. Cannot be applied to items higher than level 200. Requires Level 24 5 Charges Sell Price: 15

Notes

Gathering a Nightmare Vine will have a chance to place a poison debuff on the gatherer called Nightmare Pollen that does 75 to 125 nature damage per second for 10 seconds.

Gathering a Nightmare Vine will occasionally yield a  [Nightmare Seed] and/or a  [Fel Lotus] in addition to the herb.

As of patch 2.1.0

• Nightmare Vine: The poison from picking this herb is now considered Nature damage instead of Physical damage.
• Nightmare Vine has a reduced chance to poison the herbalist.
