Nightmare Vine is a very high level herb so far only seen in Shadowmoon Valley. This herb may have made its way to other zones, but it's not likely. As Shadowmoon was not available for play in beta, not much information has been gathered about it. Physically it appears similar in shape to a Briarthorn, but it emits a smoky green haze. Picking a Nightmare Vine will afflict you with a DoT called "Nightmare Pollen" that hits you for 100hp every second for 8-10 seconds. Be aware of this when you pick it. Not clear if any resistance to Nature or Magic would mitigate the effect entirely, it is possible to at least partially resist the effect, however. Appears orange at 375 Herbalism. Does not appear to grow any place in particular, can be seen out in the open as well as tucked in between rocks. |
