Northern Islands

A group of islands north and slightly east of the Maelstrom between the continents. They appear on most world maps, but have yet to have names or significant information.

These islands resemble the Broken Isles in Warcraft III, the place where the temple of Sargeras and the fallen Night Elf city of Suramar lies. However in Warcraft III the Broken Isles are near the Maelstrom, and Lands of Mystery establishes that the Broken Isles are south of the Maelstrom in the South Seas.

They may be included in the Wrath of the Lich King as they can be seen below northrend on the cosmic map.
