Northwind Gale Guild Charter Ver.4 - 22.8.05
Hello Northwind Gale Member, here is the latest version of the Northwind Gale (NWG) Guild Charter.
Guild Ethos
NWG exists to help its members have more fun playing WoW.
Regardless of any Guild Rules outlined below the spirit of the Guild is that of friendship, communcation, helpfullness and fun. The point of being in NWG is not to hoarde gold, silently power level to 60 or to l33t speak abuse to everyone. If you want to do those things then NWG is not for you.
How much you can play has no bearing on anything. Most of us are busy people and don't have the luxury to play every night. If you can then lucky you - if you can't then it will not affect your guild standing, rank or how much we want to /hug you.
Guild Ranks
Guild Ranks are organised below (in decending order):
- Guild Leader
- Captain
- Officer
- Senior Member
- Member
- Initiate
All members start as Initiates and are considered on a "trial period". This is only done to protect the Guild and ensure that we keep the Guild full of like-minded Members and keep the l33t boy ninjas out

Guild Rules
Say hello/goodbye to everyone.
Read the NWG Message Boards.
Helping others in the guild should be high on your list of priorities - what goes around, comes around.
Try to respond to requests in guild chat, even if it is just to say "no".
Bullying/General bad attitude towards other guild members will not be tolerated and will be delt with accordingly.
Looting rules are as follows: No looting to be done until immediate danger is removed
When a rare/unique/epic item is found, players must state either that they need the item to upgrade their current equipment ("n) or that they would sell the item ("g" for greed).
Anyone that states they need an item must equip it immediately. Exceptions: Players can state that they need an item so long as they can equip it within the next level or two
Any Bind on Pickup items that are not needed by anyone in the party should be passed to an enchanter (if present) to disenchant and then people roll on the shards etc.
Items will not be sold to other guild members - ingredients can be asked for, but not cash.
When competing for arena chests, members should not attack alliance players. Prime concern is that the Horde don't get the chest.
Guild members should try to help out fellow Alliance players. If it looks like they need some assistance and your help could turn the tide, help out.
Mining & similar gathering skills; When a node appears, either roll on it (if it's rare) or take it in turns (if there are many).
Many people are not aware, but before a node is looted, multiple people can take one hit on it to gain an xp point. Just don't take the loot!
Above all - play fair and have fun!
