Obliterate is a Death knight ability that allows the death knight to deal high damage, at the cost of consuming diseases on the target.
Obliterate is a staple ability in the arsenal of Blood and Frost death knights. Its major limitation is that it consumes diseases. This can be eliminated by the talent Annihilation.
Like a few other Death Knight abilities, Obliterate uses a percentage of weapon damage, and therefor packs a bigger punch with a 2-handed weapon.

Improvements
Talents
- Annihilation gives Obliterate a chance (100% at full rank) to not consume diseases.
- Subversion increases critical strike chance.
- Guile of Gorefiend increase critical strike damage bonus. As of Patch 3.2.0, Might of Mograine no longer gives its bonus to Obliterate.
- Merciless Combat increases Obliterate damage by 12% on targets with low health.
- Death Rune Mastery causes the runes used by Obliterate to become Death Runes when they reactivate.
