Heal is a priest healing ability, learned at level 16. It covers the niche of a cheap heal that can be cast virtually forever. The downside is that it is slow to cast and not particularly powerful. For a more powerful and more expensive healing spell, use [Greater Heal]. If speed is also a concern, [Flash Heal] is also an option. While both alternative spells are undeniably more powerful, they cannot be used indiscriminately due to their increased mana costs.

Heal has a spell power coefficient of 30.2%. This is notably less than most other healing spells.
Notes
- [Greater Heal] is usually a good choice if you need to "catch up" on healing, while Heal is a good choice if you need to conserve mana. Balancing these two spells is important if you want to last for the entire fight without losing anyone.
- Combined with the [Holy Word: Serenity] healing spell and the matching Chakra state, this spell is often enough to outheal tank damage in dungeons and some heroics.
- A less commonly used strategy for very cheap AoE healing is to [Renew] up 5 people and rotate Heal on each of these to refresh the duration of the HoT. This strategy does not allow for much lenience for mistakes, but it can be used to keep a small group of people alive virtually forever as long as the damage isn't too heavy.
Improvements
- Heal can be cast to enter the single target healing Chakra state. [State of Mind] will increase the duration of this state for every Heal cast.
- [Divine Fury] reduce the casting time of Heal by up to 0.5 seconds
- [Empowered Healing] increase the output of Heal.
- Heal may proc [Grace], [Surge of Light], and Inspiration
- [Renewed Hope] increase the crit chance of Heal while healing a target affected by the Weakened Soul debuff.
- [Strength of Soul] reduce the duration of the Weakened Soul debuff on the target it heals.

- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Redesigned as the "cheap heal" in the priest arsenal
- Patch 0.6 (2004-04-13): Added as a spell almost immediately replaced by [Flash Heal] at level 20
