Outbreak is a new death knight ability that comes with Cataclysm, learned at level 81. It was first announced in the Cataclysm death knight preview.

Outbreak infects the target with both Frost Fever and Blood Plague at no rune cost. This ability allows death knights to apply diseases quickly when they are switching targets or when their diseases have been dispelled. Due to its one-minute cooldown, Plague Strike and Icy Touch will still be useful.
