Patch 4.4.0 will bring a world event before the next expansion, which should be released with a "meaningful difference" in the release timeline compared to previous expansions.^[1]

World event Edit

A whole war will be ignited during patch 4.4.0, which will lead the game into Mists of Pandaria. Theramore will be destroyed and the leaders of Alliance, outraged at this matter, will completely devote themselves to the war, which will reach its peak on the continent of Pandaria.^[2]^[3]
