Perfume Bottle as a quest objectiveEdit
This item was an objective for the following quests:

The pre-2010 Love is in the Air [Cologne] and Perfume items can be used to put a "wearing cologne" or "wearing perfume" status buff on your character. The buff has no stats nor direct effects, it was means of moderating interaction with npcs during the event.
The item has not been removed from your inventory if you already have any. If you use it, it still places the buff. The source of these two items and functionality of the buff for interactions was removed from the game in 2010.
In particular, the perfume no longer functions toward 
Flirt With Disaster; you must use one of the new perfumes introduced in the 2010 event.
A full (10 charges) Cologne Bottle or Perfume Bottle can be sold in the auction house and they do sell, perhaps for role playing.
