The Pet Bombling item summons and dismisses a Pet Bombling, a robot bomb small pet that follows you around, meaning it is a non-combat pet and will not aid you in battle, despite its appearance.

Pet Bombling is crafted by Engineers with a skill level of 205.

The schematic is mailed to you when you renew your Goblin Engineer Membership Card. He is considered rare, as it can take as many as 100 tries to receive the plans. Creating him can be extremely expensive, at 2 gold per try, despite the relatively cheap materials.
Notes
A funny thing about The Pet Bombling...it's bigger than a Gnome! This makes it the largest pet in-game as of Patch 2.1.0.
Keep away from open flames.
