The Phantom Blade is a ghostly white blade which is cursed by Rogues everywhere. The sword can prevent rogues from stealthing away, even with Vanish. The sword is notable for being one of the few one handed weapons which show across the back (as is normal for two-handed weapons) at rest, instead at the sides, which is normal for one-handed weapons.

The Phantom Blade is crafted by Blacksmiths with a skill level of 245 who also have the Weaponsmith specialty.
Since the release of The Burning Crusade this plan has been made available to all blacksmiths with the requisite skill level from the weapon trainer in Shattrath City.

Background
During the last war, the Lich King outfitted some of his incorporeal undead warriors with special armor, making them difficult to deal with. In response, human craftsmen developed the phantom blade. These longswords are a translucent white color, and seem to disappear almost entirely in sunlight.MM&M 119
