Abilities
- Hits plate for 2.5-4k a hit. Known to 1-shot cloth and leather wearers.
- Immune to Taunt, but Mocking Blow may work
- Immune to one school of magic. The school changes when the slime changes color.
- Detect Magic will show this as a buff called Plague Slime (Colour), Colour is what they are resistant to. Blue = frost, Red = fire, etc.
- There have been rumors of the slimes taking only 50% of the damage caused, but this is unconfirmed.
Strategies
They are VERY slow in movement speed. Therefore a great strategy is to have the tank grab aggro, throw a couple of sunders in, then just kite it. Occasionally throw more sunders or heroic strikes to hold aggro.
They come with packs of other mobs, so the tanks should have time to get enough aggro to just kite him around as ranged and melee nuke him, as they should be killed last.
Alternatively, just tank it and kill it, as they are very easy. One or two healers should be sufficient to keep a tank up through the fight.
Another Strategy
Get Hunters and kite any Slimes around the room. They normally need no healing and can whittle away the slime's HP while the raid concentrates on the other mobs.
