Poison Spit is an active pet ability used by Serpents. Causes X Nature damage over time and reduces spell casting speed for 8 secs at up to a 30 yard range.

Additional Notes
- Damage does not scale with Ranged Attack Power, unlike Scorpid Poison.[citation needed]
- This ability is better suited for quicker fights, such as during grinding, due to it's higher damage, shorter duration, and longer range. Still, Scorpid Poison is pretty good by comparison because of stacking and RAP scaling.
Patch changes
Patch 3.0.9 (2009-02-10): Now reduces the target's casting speed by 25%, down from 50%.
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Changed to also reduce casting speed.
